An Economics afternoon featuring
Sarah Hunter, Chief Economist for the Reserve Bank of Australia


Learn and understand more about the Australian economy and economic outlook. The Queensland focus will support students to apply their knowledge of economic concepts, principles and models from their classroom learnings.

Sarah Hunter is responsible for the Reserve Bank's Economic Analysis and Economic Research departments and is the chief economic advisor to the Governor and the Board.

The event will be live-streamed for schools outside of metropolitan Brisbane.


Where: Hawken Engineering Building, University of Queensland.

When: 4 June 2025, 1-2:20pm.

Who: Year 11 & 12 students.

In-person Attendance: Please register the number of students attending and their names. Up to 50 students and teachers allowed at the In-person event. Email us if you want to join a waiting list for additional attendees.

Cost:
QETA Members - Free for in person attendance or live-streaming.
Non-QETA Members - $5 per student for in person attendance or free for live-streaming.
