An economist is a versatile degree, that can be linked with any other degree. This is not an exaggeration. If you want to progress to manager level or above, you will need to understand the economics of demand and supply, circular flow, economic indicators, and costs and benefits.

If you want to be involved in commerce, that is selling or trading, applying economic knowledge and thinking skills will give you a marketing and trading edge over competitors and enable you to make decisions about efficiency, productivity and competition that will improve your profitability.
