2026 UQ Economics Competition

Open to students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

The competition will take place at your school during the testing window Monday 27 July to Friday 1 August. Teacher invigilation of the exam is required.

The competition consists of a 35 minute, 30 item multiple choice test assessing content from the QCAA Economics 2019 General Senior Syllabus.

There will be a number of questions assessing some knowledge of current economic events. The competition is free to all students of Economics in Queensland secondary school that are members of QETA. All students receive a certificate recognising their participation and results. There are cash prizes for the top students in each division.
