Are your junior electives working hard enough for your senior curriculum?
This week's presenter will be:
Natasha Banks
Teacher of Economics at St Peter's Lutheran College, Springfield
The topic we will be presenting and discussing in this week's T'Chat will be:
Bridging the gap between Years 8-9 and senior pathways in Economics
The workshop will share the experience of how Natasha has used these two junior electives to create pathways in Economics, and also in
Business, Accounting and Geography:
Environmental Economics –
a new cross-curricular unit designed to engage students with sustainability, cost-benefit analysis and geography links.
Entrepreneurship – a hands-on
business elective that's so engaging students choose to repeat it, all while building real business skills.
Learn how these electives helped grow the St Peter’s Economics enrolments dramatically and walk away with practical insights and unit
structures to adapt at your school.
