About Us
QETA Inc. is a body of teachers and other educators throughout Queensland, Australia, committed to the promotion and advancement of Economics and Business Education in schools.
To achieve this goal, the association organises and resources a diversity of activities, aimed at enhancing the professional qualities of teachers, and the understanding of Economics and Business among students.
QETA Inc. was established in 1974. It is a nonprofit organisation.
QETA Inc. aims to:
- Support and promote Economics and Business education in schools.
- Sponsor and support activities, such as Essay competitions, Student seminar days, Professional development activities for teachers.
- Liaise with commercial and government organisations in relation to the development and provision of suitable teaching and learning resources.
- Contribute to curriculum development in Economics, Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE), and Business Education.
- Advocate on behalf of Economics educators.
- Promote the public recognition of the role of Economics.
- Provide input into educational reviews through submissions.
